Global Pro Wrestling went across the pond for January's Free-For-View event. Here's the low down on what all went down:
The Sindicate Defeat Dynamike & Senshi | Niphiro Returns!
Dynamike & Senshi put on a hell of a fight against The Sindicate on Sunday in a 6-man tag team elimination main event. Dread proved to be the X-factor of the match, eliminating both Masaru and Satoru from the match, leaving Dynamike in a 3 on 1 situation. Dynamike evened the odds by getting Dread counted out and taking out Van Pierre via pin fall. But the odds proved to be too much for Dynamike to overcome and SIN put the match away with The Final Judgment finishing move. After the match, Niphiro shocked the world with his return back to GPW after 4 months away from the ring.
Devon Devine Dips Out the Steel Cage to Retain the GPW INFERNO Title
Showtime Shannon Styles and Devon Devine have had one of the most heated rivalries in GPW history. What was once a fond friendship is now a bitter grudge for one another. The inaugural and the only 2-time INFERNO champion, Shannon Styles, has been jumped, beaten with chairs, mocked and harassed by Devine for months. The ultimate insult came when Devine won the INFERNO title in a triple threat ladder match last month. Styles clearly could not have came in this match at 100%, but he definitely gave it 100%. Style stole the show when he decided to leap off the cage to hit Devine with a big splash. However, Devine held on long enough to capitalize on an opportunity to escape the cage and win the match.
Dangerous Dan Slater Does It Again: Defends the GPW Hardcore Championship
Dangerous Dan Slater proves once again why he is the greatest hardcore wrestler doing it today. This time, he was challenged in a triple threat match against two tag team wrestlers, Quickdraw Crawford (Cowboys From Hell) & Havik (Empire of Payne).
Cody "King" Castro is Crowned the GPW Triple Threat Champion
After an intense rivalry between Castro, Kavan and The Great Hosoqai over the last month. It was anyone's match to win but Cody Castro capitalized on his opportunity to obtain his first singles title in Global Pro Wrestling.
Nacho Suave & Samoa Dro def. Michael Logan & FInn
Michael Logan and Nacho Suave have been feuding for months now, but this time they both brought some backup. Nacho teamed up with his cousin Dro and Logan brought his dog Finn along to his tag team partner (assuming nobody on the roster wanted to team up with him). Dro & Nacho appears to have the better team chemistry and took the victory.
DRAZE Suffers A Tough Defeat Against the Hooligoonz | Could This Be the Downfall of DRAZE?
Dre and Raze (DRAZE) were on top of the world just a few months ago and showing the world that they are one of the top tag teams in all of wrestling. But what a differnece a few months can make. After weeks of arguments and tough losses, DRAZE suffers yet another loss in the ring, this time against the Holligoonz. DRAZE was clearly not on the same page. Dre's stubborn ego took control and refused to tag Raze in the match, even after taking loads of punishment from the well oiled Hooligoonz, essentially making it almost a handicap match of sorts. Even after his frustrations about the match, Raze appeared concerned for Dre's health after passing out via submission. Instead of embracing his parter's aid, Dre punches him in the face, shocking the crowd and leaving the GPW Galaxy wondering if this was splitting up of a once beloved fan favorite tag team...
Bully Bowers Busts Out the Brass on Chandler Chapman
Manchester England got to see the debut of two new GPW Superstars from the UK. One is a young highflying talent known as the "Young Chap" Chandler Chapman. The other is a rough and tough rugged wrestler from Blackpool known as "The Ruffian" Bully Bowers. The hometown boy (Chapman) gave it his all the pick up a win but Bully Bowers pulled out a move from William Regal's playbook, hitting Young Chap over the head with a pair of brass knuckles which were hidden in his trunks and getting the pin fall.
